Anna collects ochres and other mineral pigments on walks and outings in the desert around her home and beyond. Rocks are hand-processed to achieve a uniform particle size and mulled with homemade watercolor medium to create completely natural mineral watercolors. Her paintings are mostly inspired by quilt blocks, geometric imagery, and desert flora/fauna.
